Terri Jean Kirrie has been a successful hairstylist for 18 years. She has always known that her destiny was in the beauty industry following in her mother's footsteps. Hairstyling has always been her passion, but, she knew that one day she would fulfill her dream of having a salon of her own. Together, with her mom, she has been celebrating the ownership of an award-winning, small-town, fashion-forward hair salon for 10 years. She really prides herself on balancing being a wife, a mother of three, a salon owner, a hairdresser, and a mentor to other stylists.
Terri has traveled throughout the country visiting such places as Orlando, Miami, New York, and Las Vegas training under the salon industries’ leading artists. She has attended numerous haircutting and coloring classes including Hair Color USA, Premiere Orlando, and Hair Camp with Mikel Sandoval. With the encouragement from her parents, she received an A. S. degree in Business Marketing and Management in 1994. She has also studied different business systems such as Michael Cole’s Boot Camp, Lauren Gartland’s Inspiring Champions, and Robert Cromeans’ Seriously. Her salon won the Silver Award for the Best Salon in the area voted by the residents of her town. She is consistently providing continuing education to her staff and they are all cross-trained in different aspects of the salon industry. Not only is Terri persistent is setting goals for herself, she is also focused on inspiring her staff to set goals and instilling the confidence to obtain them.
Terri is a National Educator for John Paul Mitchell Systems. As an educator, she is committed to bettering her skills, learning new techniques, and sharing her knowledge with other people who are passionate about this business. Terri chose to be a part of their family because the support and programs offered by John Paul Mitchell Systems is by far superior to other companies. She is so inspired by the people Behind the Bottle.
